Al-Khawarizmi Library

Library Service is responsible for managing information resources for learning, teaching and research and providing support on their use.

The core collection covers materials that meet the taught courses offered by the university college with generous allocations in developing resources required for research purposes.

The library is proactive in developing a wide range of electronic resources and in promoting and guiding the use of information resources, including:

Subject-based reference enquiry services.
Internet gateway services.
Subject-focused academic support services.

A commitment to provide quality collections and services in support of the teaching/learning and research needs of the college community

Astronomer

The contribution of Al-Khawarizmi to geography is also worth mentioning, in that not only he revise Ptolemy's views on geography, but also corrected them in detail as well as his map of the world. Ohter contributions include original work related to clocks, sundials and astrolabels.
